Starter kits come with very basic drum heads (sometimes referred to as Skins) The ones supplied as standard are single ply which are thinner and at some point will require replacing. Evans who are a professional drum head maker are offering the American Upgrade pack as a special upgrade for starter kits. This pack includes a full set of G2 double ply heads for the toms, G1 Coated for the Snare and an EMAD for the bass drum. There are also a set of professional series Promark 5A Drum Sticks. These heads will make the drum kit sound better and provide more durability too. Bought normally this pack represents over £100 worth of heads and sticks.
