Mapex have just released a brand new 'top of the line' range of Signature Series Design Lab Snare Drums. These drums all feature unique specifications such as the Artist's personal choice of heads & snare wire. Another first on this range is the inclusion of the Trick multi step throw off systems complete with Mapex branding.

Here we have the Russ Miller Versatus 14 x 4.58. This is an updated version of the original model with new optimised features.

Designed by Russ Miller, the Versatus Maple/Mahogany Hybrid shell, offers a Naturally Pre-Processed sound with just the right amount of Low-End, articulation and punch. A single SAS Ring on the batter side only, a unique bearing edge combination and the ideal depth/size proportion, all contribute to the perfect balance of strength, functionality, feel and beauty for all playing situations.

Personalised features on the new Versatus include Russ Miller's preference of Remo heads and Puresound snare wires.
