The Mapex Saturn is one of our favourite shell combinations featuring their ever popular Maple/Walnut Hybrid. The latest face lift in the from of the Saturn V is their best yet!

The 18” bass drum is seriously focussed and strikes the right pitch to cut through your band in rehearsal and on stage. The 12x8 rack tom gives a full, quick decaying tom note whilst the square sized 14x14 floor tom hit’s a sweet mid pitch and delivers a rumbling bottom end using it’s generous depth.

The CLUB CLASSIC kick drum features the new ergonomic tom block that attaches in the traditional style on the shell.

The hybrid Maple/Walnut shells come complete with black chrome hardware and a gorgeous exotic Natural Maple Burl finish, ensuring that this kit looks every bit as impressive as it sounds.

The shells feature Mapex's unique SONIClear™ bearing edge, which allows the drumhead to sit flatter and make better contact with the shell. The result is a drum with far greater resonance and tonal clarity, along with a deeper, more rounded tone. The SONIClear™ edge also allows for much easier tuning, and enables the drum to consistently stay in tune.

Complimenting the bearing edge are the innovative low-contact mounts. The bass drum claws and SONIClear™ tom suspension are designed to increase resonance by reducing contact and preserving vibration in the shell. The tom suspension also avoids touching the tension rods, allowing the heads to stay in tune for longer and making them easy to change.

The new bass drum spurs feature measure marks, enabling you to easily and accurately set them to your preferred settings, and the arm mount features a spring system which allows the clamp to be slipped over the tube with one quick move, without needing two hands.

The new lugs, the new logo, the new colours, the new suspension mounts and the new spurs give the Saturn V the biggest face lift it's ever had yet the sound is a good as ever, the new size options further enhance what Saturn can deliver and this really feels like a lot of value for money yet looks as professional as the best.
