Here we have a fairly rare and lovely condition Natal Originals Series Bubinga shell drum kit in Bop sizes. We can't emphasise enough how impressed we are with the build quality, finishing and sound of these drums. Everything is very well lubricated and it is obvious from the get go that the guys behind Natal (Marshall Amplification here in the UK) care deeply about their relatively new drum brand. The snare drum features a 3 position throw off mechanism that really works for that snare tight or looser back beat feel.
Each tom has two die cast Natal badges featuring the 'Sun' logo. The bass drum also features a wood I.D. badge, the attractive chrome-plated zinc 'sun' lugs are another beautiful detail. Natal also offer their own integrated suspension system which is attached very descretly to two of the lugs, the mount is then isolated by two rubber grommets allowing the drums to resonate freely whilst maintaining a more rigid and predictable tom mount that is far easier to use than many of the other isolation systems on the market that often have a great deal of lift that can make tom placement more of a guessing game.
For anyone looking for these kind of sizes, a premium shell and a fantastic price, this could certainly be the kit for you!

Here's what Natal Say:
Bubinga is a highly figured hard tropical timber with a predominantly straight interlocking grain, widely chosen for its looks as well as its bright response.
Due to its density Bubinga maintains balanced resonance throughout all ranges of tuning and has an underlying richness and depth of tone that makes it a popular choice with professional drummers. Bubinga shells are 7 ply. Each tom has two die cast Natal badges featuring the 'Sun' logo. The bass drum also features a wood I.D. badge.
Shallower drums or "short stacked drums" have gained in popularity in recent years due to their cutting sound with great attack. Shallow drums are also popular as it allows drummers to keep their setups low and flat.
Natal was originally conceived in 1958 by distinguished British percussionist Alan Sharp who, unable to find the exact instruments he wanted to play, sourced their individual parts and assembled them himself. His bongos were of such high quality that orders began to flood in, eventaully leading to the foundation of the Natal Percussion Company in 1965. Natal is fully committed to producing drums and hardware of the highest standard of quality, and Natal percussion is used by top artists including Brian Downey (Thin Lizzy) and Ian Matthews (Kasabian).
