We are big fans of Alan's work. The look and sound of all his drums combined with his own 'made-in-house' snare mechanisms, lugs and even hoops make him a one of the truly great custom drum makers. Proudly all made 'in-house' in the UK, VK drums have found their way in to the collection of many professional drummers across the world because of their distinctive 'must have' sound.

The '777' 7th Anniversary Snare

Due to the popularity of the 14 x 6.5 "7 Snare", Alan has offered a limited run of just seven of the 777 snares to mark the 7th anniversary of VK Drums.
The shell is made from five metals: titanium, brass, magnesium, aluminium and copper. The lugs have surgical steel tubes with various metals with contrasting colours.
The idea of this snare came as a "Salesman snare" similar to a Ludwig drum with various plastic wraps to show off the various finishes. The drum is an incredible work of art and sonically this drum delivers clear attack with a really nice mid range bump.
