Here we have an absolutely stunning Pre-Loved BCA! This kit was made at the Yamaha Japan Facility and features the (sakae constructed) thin Birch Shells and the original Absolute lug. This kit is finished in stunning Vintage Natural which is even more impressive in the flesh. The Vintage Finish is a special synthetic resin finish that was applied by hand on high quality wind instruments. While enhancing the tone of the birch shell, the Vintage finish also provides a durable, waterproof finish that virtually eliminates the influence of weather and humidity on the drum. By Yamaha design over the course of time, the colour of the shell has changed and will continue to change to a deeper hue.

The Absolute is an absolutely awesome drum kit, it took over from the Recording Custom series, it features 6mm 6 ply 100% Birch Toms and Floor Toms and 7 Ply, 7mm Bass Drum, the sound produced is great for the studio or live, great projection yet full and warm tone. Production of the kit came to a close when the Japanese factory (run by Sakae) ceased to produce for Yamaha. The new Chinese factory owned by Yamaha has returned to producing a re-designed Recording Custom which is the current birch offering from the company.

Other notable features on this kit are the famous Yamaha Air Seal System which refers to Yamaha's unique shell building philosophy, Aluminium DieCast hoops and YESS mount on the 10 x 8 tom. Another really nice feature on this drum kit is the built in bass drum riser (the same one found on the Marrota Hip Gig Kit) this allows you to rise the bass drum to a higher position enabling the bass drum pedal to strike the centre of the drum.
