Natal Mappa Burl Maple 13 x 7 Snare Drum, Smoked Gloss

Durable Hardware

The Natal Mappa Burl Snare Drum features brushed nickel hardware, including high-mass plated sun lugs with Tru-Tune tension rods, offering reliable and consistent tuning throughout your performances or drumming sessions. A hand finished, bees wax treated 45 degree bearing edge reduces friction between the head and the bearing edge resulting in brighter overtones and a more effective sustain. The Natal Mappa Burl Snare Drum features an outer ply of mappa burl, providing the stunning smoked gloss finish.

About Natal Drums

Natal was originally conceived in 1958 by distinguished British percussionist Alan Sharp who, unable to find the exact instruments he wanted to play, sourced their individual parts and assembled them himself. Alan's new Afro-Cuban bongos were of such high quality that orders began to flood in, from his protégés and contemporaries alike, eventually leading to the foundation of the Natal Percussion Company in 1995. Natal enjoyed huge success, especially with its revolutionary fiberglass congas, which found favour with the likes of Santana, T. Rex, Led Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac, Deep Purple and The Rolling Stones.
