Here we have a new Yamaha Absolute Hybrid Maple. There is a lot of demand for the Hybrid series and there's no surprise why! The Hybrid is Yamaha at it's professional best, bags of tone, wide open tuning range, great projection and surprising warmth from a Maple kit, we assume thats the Wenge at work! If you haven't heard one yet, come down and give one a try!
The kit is finished in the stunning Polar White Lacquer which has a laser blue running through the finish and features 8 x 7, 10 x 7, & 12 x 8 Toms, 14 x 13 & 16 x 15 Floor Toms and a 22 x 16 Bass Drum. The Hybrid features Yamaha’s latest Y.E.S.S. III mounting system, Aluminium Diecast hoops and the new hook lug as originally designed and featured on the flagship Phoenix series drums.
We have also changed the bass drum display head to a Yamaha Factory White Logo on Black head instead of the usual Black Logo on White head. We think this really sets the look of the kit off, but the original head can be supplied instead if required.
Please Note: Hardware, Snare and Cymbals are shown for display purposes only and are not included in the price. Please contact us for a quote on additional components if required.

What Yamaha Say:
When we set about designing the Absolute Hybrid Maple, we started with the most important aspect of a musical instrument, the sound. We wanted these new drums to perform at all dynamic levels. From a whisper to a thunder, a drum should respond to the drummer’s touch, allowing them to express their every emotion. We then considered other characteristics of a great drum. It should feel good to play, it should be a thing of beauty to the eye, and has to withstand the rigors of years of performance.
Over three years, we built prototypes that were put to the test, enlisting the help of our roster of artists in virtually every genre--some of the most critical ears in the industry. We think you will hear that we succeeded in creating an instrument that drummers can express their every thought, every feeling and creative idea that comes to them. An instrument that is a thing of beauty to the ears and the eyes and that will last for generations.
