Here we have a great opportunity to get an incredible Evetts snare drum for an incredible price! This drum was originally handled by us in late 2018. It has returned to us in immaculate condition and is now looking for a new home.

Evetts hand build Snares and Kits in Australia. Evetts shells are generally either Spotted Gum, Jarrah or Tasmanian Blackwood though other Australian Hardwoods are available too. The unique sound of Evetts drums inherently comes from the shell. All their drum shells are pressed in-house with specially designed dry-forming cold-pressed moulds. Their expert moulding technology allows the resins to cure naturally at room temperature under consistent and even pressure. The processes at Evetts allow for the creation of the most breathtaking and remarkable sounding drum shells.

14 X 6.5 Blackheart

The 14 x 6.5 we have here is a spotted gum shell. The drum is finished with an outer veneer of exotic vertical grain Blackheart Sassafras which is just breathtaking. The Veneer is finished in gloss.

Evetts interiors command the same amount of attention as the exterior. It’s well known that the internal drum shell impacts on the drum’s overall characteristics. Evetts apply a light open grained lacquer to the shell interior which enhances drum projection, sensitivity and provides for a stronger tone. This also helps to seal and protect the timber.

This snare has low-mass vintage tube lugs, pure sound snare wires, the Trick GS007 Multistep solid aluminium throw-off, 2.3mm triple flanged hoops and Remo heads (Ambassador Coated Batter & Ambassador Hazy Snare Side)
