GRETSCH USA MAPLE 3 PIECE BOP DRUM KIT, SQUARE BADGE, BLACK (PRE-LOVED)

Here we have a really nice bop set up Gretsch square badge from 1980. The kit features twin head internal dampeners (top and bottom), original Die Cast hoops, original floor tom brackets, all original lugs and bass drum claw hooks. Like many Gretsch kits imported during the 80's the kit has been modified with a Premier bass drum mount, tom holder and tom bracket. These were considered far more robust at the time and offered better positioning as set ups began to evolve.

Inside you can see the iconic Gretsch silver sealer, original Gretsch paper badges and twin head tone controls fitted top and bottom of each tom.

The kit is fitted with new Evans G1 Coated and G1 Resos plus an Evans EMAD Bass Drum Batter Head. The kit sounds absolutely as you would expect from this era of Gretsch, an opportunity to get the slightly harder to find Bop sizes, USA Custom build and great character looks too. This will be perfect for many musical applications live or in the studio, a perfect kit for Jazz, Bebop and many Acoustic settings.

Pre-Loved - 7/10 Condition - New Heads fitted, Finish in reasonable condition, some light scuffs, Chrome on the Die-Cast hoops is showing signs of pitting. Nothing that detracts from the sonic performance of this kit.
